MV Commercial has delivered four Scania P450s with Thompson tipper bodies to MD Aggregate Supplies in record time, defying expectations of lengthy delivery times amid supply chain challenges. While other suppliers quoted a minimum of 12 months for delivery, MV Commercial promised to source the tippers in just three months, and they delivered as promised.

Mike Weatherall, Transport Manager at MD Aggregate Supplies, expressed his delight at the speedy delivery, which he said was critical to the company's fleet update. The tippers, supplied on a full-service three-year contract hire agreement, will be used in Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire, and Wales to transport materials such as dust products, MOT Type 1 aggregates, muck-away, and large rocks. They are expected to cover 80,000 km annually.
The vehicles are equipped with a PM onboard weighing system, two front and rear strobe lights, two LED work lights at the rear, and all-round recording cameras for added safety. With a Scania 450 engine, they can handle the steep terrain around quarries in North Wales with ease, even when carrying full payloads. Weatherall praised the fuel efficiency of the vehicles and the high specs, which the drivers love.
The tippers join seven other vehicles in the MD Aggregate Supplies fleet. Weatherall revealed that the company plans to do more business with MV Commercial in 2023, having been impressed by their excellent customer service. MV Commercial has demonstrated its ability to deliver on its promises in challenging circumstances, earning the trust and loyalty of its customers.
